We are running Friday's route on Saturday. Please have all trash and recycling out early as our routes will be run early. Please also have your bins accessible for our workers. Please note some roads may still not be passable, our workers safety is our first priority. If your road is still inaccessible we will not send our trucks through.

Notice

The county no longer is accepting any plastic bags/film/shrink wrap of any kind in the recycling both residential and commercially. Please recycle plastic bags at your local grocery store, home improvement store, Walmart, Target, etc.

If everyone could please make sure as to not place these items in the recycle cans it will eliminate the problem.

All of the above can be placed commingled in the recycling bin. Beverage and food containers must be emptied.

 

Grocery Store Plastic Bags.
Retail bags such as the ones your receive from Walmart, Target, and the grocery store are NO LONGER recyclable. These bags clog the machines at the county landfil, please recycle them at your local grocery store.

In accordance with Carroll County we will not accept plastic bags for or in recycling.  If bags are being used for or in the recycling our employees are instructed to leave it set until it is without any plastic bags.

We also do not accept the following:

• Drinking Glasses
• Dishes or Ceramics
• Light Bulbs
• Mirrors
• Plastic Film or Wrap
• Styrofoam Containers
• Scrap Metal (Engine Parts or Car Parts)
• Pots and Pans
• Fencing, Siding, or Screening
• Hangers or Wire
• Wax Coated Cardboard
• Grease or Oil Soaked Paper
• Carbon Paper
• Blueprints
• Paper Packaged in Plastic

ALL CUSTOMERS NEED TO PUT TRASH & RECYCLING OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE PICK-UP AS PICK-UP TIMES VARY FROM WEEK TO WEEK. WE WILL NOT RETURN FOR MISSED PICK-UPS IF IT'S NOT OUT.

Items like Stoves, Dishwashers, TV’s etc. can be
picked up with regular trash. However you need to call to have the item placed on the Bulk Item list for pick up. There will be a nominal charge because of the item weight.

Hazardous Waste, Tires, Construction Debris, Car Parts, and Yard trimmings, CAN NOT be taken with regular trash. These items can be taken to your local landfill.
Other items like Old Trash Cans, Buckets, and CAN BE picked up but you need to mark it with a note to throw away.
